Word of Knowledge

A specific word for a specific time/task. For example, someone praying for healing could be dealing with unforgiveness, and the word of knowledge is give to you to speak for forgiveness as opposed to praying for the person to be healed.

The difference between a WOK and a word of prophecy is that a prophecy speaks to a declaration of what God wants to do in the person’s life and declaring it, bringing the unseen to be seen in the natural.

Luke 4:18-19 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”

All of this ministry requires the Word of Knowledge. It is like a secret weapon, the key to unlock the door to the heart of the person. God can reveal what is the exact problem and how to deal with it.

1 Cor 2:12-13 Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God. 1 Cor 2:12-13

Word of knowledge allows the person to encounter with God. it is indisputable if you have a word for the person, and when the hearer hears it, receives it, will marvel at the love of God because God spoke through you.

Ways you receive a Word of knowledge:
1. Feelings – a physical sensation, usually when you are praying for healing
2. Seeing – you can see physical symptoms in form of an image
3. Reading – you may literally be able to read it as God superimposes the words
4. Hearing/Speaking – as you speak you actually marvel what are you saying. Means you haven’t processed through your brains yet.
5. Dreams/Visions – an impression of mental image, it could also be revealed through your dreams.

After you release the word of knowledge, you can begin to pray for the person for healing, then share that it is the love of God how He revealed it because He loves.
