We began our day very early in the morning, having to meet at Klia2 at 645am. Compared to the other 2 teams headed out for missions, our team to Surabaya only consisted of 15 KLA students, 5 MIT students and 2 pastors. A small but powerful group.
Our flight had some mild turbulence but was otherwise uneventful. Arrived in Surabaya and straight to the hotel. It was smooth all the way, not even a jam in sight!
After a hearty lunch, we headed over to the church venue and thence off to respective groups to purchase the things we needed for church: Connect lounge, Services, Kids. Later we would meet at the Hotel for dinner and prayer meeting.
At the end of the prayer meeting that we had, a comment was thrown in that we were a rag tag bunch of people, most of us were the ‘back row of the class’ students. Ps Mervin pointed out that David’s mighty men started out as the misfits of their time. He poured his life for them and into them, forming his band of brothers who became the mighty, who slew thousands of the enemies.
We are a small team, but we are mighty in the Lord, breaking this fallow ground and pouring out seeds of hope for this land to save this generation for Christ.
